Why the team name 'Wraysbury Yew 2'?

Well, we've both lived in the village of Wraysbury with our respective wifes for a long time - and Wraysbury has a famous Yew tree (look it up) - and there's two of us.

Besides, 'Two old gits on a road trip' is a bit long winded.

Why have we entered?

Peter's son, Luke was in the 2006 Banjul Challenge and Peter has been wanting to follow in his son's footsteps/tyre tracks/skid marks ever since. Me, reaching the ripe old age of 60 this January, I deceided to have another mid-life crisis, before it's far too late to enjoy it.

Well, we've finally got our car - 'Woody'! An old VW Golf. A little bit more than the £100 but it needs very little work. Now - let's start personalizing it!
